Shredded Flank Steak, Ropa Vieja

This dish originated from Spain and made its way to Cuba and most of the Caribbean region. Ropa vieja is Spanish for “Old Clothes.” The Cuban version of this dish is simply shredded beef, vegetables like red pepper, and tomato sauce. In this picture, it is served with rice and plantain.
