Image Search Tips

This search engine helps you find images on foodportraits.com. Here’s how it works: you tell the search engine what you’re looking for by typing in keywords, phrases, or questions in the search box. The search function responds by giving you a list of all images in the website relating to those topics. The most relevant content will appear at the top of your results. The search engine requires Javascript to be enabled in your browser.

Including or Excluding Words

By default, the search engine will match ALL of the words that you enter in the search box.

To make sure that a specific word is always excluded from your search, place a minus (-) sign before the keyword in the search box.

Example: To find cookies with oatmeal but without raisins, try “cookie oatmeal -raisin”.

Searching for an Exact Phrase

If you want to find an exact phrase, use “double quotation marks” around your search terms.

Searches are case insensitive. Searching for “Drink” will match the lowercase “drink” and uppercase “DRINK”.

By default, all searches are accent insensitive as well. Accent sensitivity relates to Latin characters like รต.

Expand your search using wildcards (*):

By typing an * within a keyword, you can match up to four letters.

Example: Try laugh* to find laugh, laughs, or laughing.
