Halema uma u Crater

We did a day trip from Oahu to the Big Island in Hawaii called Hawai‘i.

Hawai‘i has the active volcano—one of the largest in the world. Too bad we didn’t see lava flows though. One neat thing that we did do is hike down the Kilauea Caldera (the rim of a volcano) to see the lava rocks up close. They look like burnt charcoal. We smelled the sulphur vents and walked through a lava tube too.

Over all it was a good 6 day break in Hawaii.
